What is a grant?
The government and private charities are providing free money that does not need to be repaid.
What entities are eligible to apply for grant funds?
Organizations
Non-profit, as decided by the Internal Revenue Service.
Programs that benefit a greater portion of the community, or promote medical, technological,
environmental, religious, intellectual, or scientific advancements/innovations and/or general
goodwill, are highly beneficial.
Individuals
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 or older (for federal grants), and must demonstrate that the grant program in question will benefit a significant portion of the community and/or promote advances in medical technology, the environment, religion, intelligence, science, or general goodwill.
